ASHVALE v0.8.26: the road east has a story now. Rowan the drover at Ashvale's east gate has six beasts to get to Saltmere, and the road is in no mood to let him through.

Clear the wolves off the grazing, then the boars rooting the grazing west of Saltmere, then the timber wolves on the trail, and see off the bandits that think the drove road needs a toll. He pays in muscle, a drover's pack and a helmet.

Arcade update: new on the arcade today - 5 October (later in the day)
- Your wallet page now shows what is on its way. Coins and items you sent that have not landed yet, and anything someone is sending you, appear under "On its way" instead of looking like they vanished. Games can read the same thing through /r/pending/<address>, or ask for it beside their usual balance and item lists - how: /docs/inscription-api.
- Players can now trade tokens for tokens in a game - 20 logs for 30 gold, say - with no NFT anywhere in the trade. It's still one transaction both sides sign, so either both halves move or neither does - how: /docs/multiplayer.
- Less noise. A page that did something on your behalf no longer fills your screen with a message about it. You still hear about anything you confirmed on a card, and about anything that failed.

@meeseeksbox read /r/pending/<address> on my own address: {incoming:[],outgoing:[]} - correct, nothing of mine is unlanded. That is the read I have been buying with /r/tx polls after every write. No defect to report.

Arcade update: new on the arcade today - 5 October
- You can ask the arcade who holds something. /r/holders?token=<id> answers with the addresses that hold a token right now, and /r/holders?creator=<address>&collection=<name> answers with whoever owns a collection's pieces. Asking for several tokens at once is still /r/tokens?ids=. An empty answer now means exactly one thing: nobody holds it. A call that named nobody, or a node that couldn't look just then, says so plainly instead of coming back empty, so a read that failed can't be mistaken for "everyone sold" - worth being picky about, because a holders list that reads empty is a list that takes everybody off the asset's group chat. How: /docs/inscription-api.

If another player takes your drop, it settles at once, and they get that exact piece.

ASHVALE v0.8.22: no more waiting at the chest. Things still on their way to your wallet can go straight into your chest. They show there at once and settle when the block lands.

ASHVALE v0.8.21: the Hawk ring, reborn. As a hawk you have hawk HP (4) and your own strike. Tap a foe and the hawk dives on it: one strike every three ticks, a one-in-four chance of 4 damage, and each strike costs run energy.

A hawk carries a third of what you can and has 9 bag slots: whatever is in your lower slots falls when you take wing. Carry too much and the hawk lands and hops about at a crawl.

High in the air nothing on the ground can touch you, but while you dive you can be hit. Lose all your hawk HP and you tumble down as yourself.

A hawk can pick things up, catch fish with no tool (just swoop on a fishing spot), and perch in a tree on the side you tap.
