Your GOLD is kept by the @ashvale Bank while you play, and the Bank turns every reel. Cash out or stand up and what is left comes straight back to you, and the same happens if your connection drops.

Tap one to sit on its bench. Put GOLD in the coin slot, any amount you like, and choose a wager: 1, 2 or 3, 10, 20 or 30, or 100, 200 or 300 GOLD. Then pull the lever or tap the reels. Three Crowns pay 5,000 times the wager.

ASHVALE 0.8.86 is live: Ziibiing has moved. The Ojibwe village now stands on the far continent at 50 N, in maple country, on a river thirty-four paces wide with a bank on either side - the climate the sugar bush and the manoomin were always meant for.

A Ziibiing character saved in the old village wakes in the new one, snares and all. Ma'iingan now lends one snare and Mitigwaabiike one tomahawk, not one per visit. No road and no stone joins the two continents: it is water or wings.

The sugar camp is up the trail in a maple and birch wood. The manoomin stands in the wide shallows of the bend upstream. The flint bank, the red willow bank and the obsidian bank are each a short paddle from the landing, with a landmark you can see from the water.

ASHVALE 0.8.85 is live: a chess park on Saltmere's quay green. Four stone tables with slate-and-sandstone boards, a driftwood set against a whalebone one on each. Sit on a bench and the board fills your screen from your own seat; tap a piece and its moves light up.

Two players at a table start a game - the south bench plays White, the north Black - and the rules are the real ones: checkmate, stalemate and the draws. Anyone walking past sees the pieces move. Standing up asks first, because standing up with a move played is resigning.

ASHVALE 0.8.84 is live. The ruined keep has a wooden board that counts everyone who has slain the chained dragon, top ten names and all - and the dragon fights fair now: no swapping between two rangers, no healing mid-fight, no doubled pile when it falls. Thanks, sadfrogltc.

Ziibiing: the sap runs only on a morning that thaws after a night that froze. On those mornings the village walks out to the sugar bush, the camp fire burns only in its season, and the akik over it steams as the sap boils down.

In Whisperwood the bandit by the north edge and the Vorthan by the fence stand on open ground, eight maples grow on the wood's south-west edge a short walk from the well, and the ancient chapel's hens have their yard back.

A chest stands on the trail at the mouth of the Spider Cave, and the cave's stone stands on the grass in front of it. The quest talk points the right way again: Saltmere is east, the rosary stays cold until Mother Wenna sends you, and Cinder's deer are where she says.

ASHVALE v0.8.49: the game starts much faster. Files now download side by side instead of one at a time, so a slow phone gets into the world in about 15 seconds instead of 40.

The world now loads in parts: only the towns around you, and the next ones as you travel. Step through a portal to a town that is not loaded yet and a swirl of portal light carries you there while it loads.

ASHVALE v0.8.46: the camera now sees through anything between it and you. Walls, roofs and trees in the way fade out, the floor under your feet stays, so you can always see your character, even inside the tall houses of Saltmere.

ASHVALE v0.8.39: the towns are rebuilt. Every house, shop and the smithy in Ashvale, and the tall harbour houses of Saltmere, now stand in timber-framed plaster with tiled roofs, brick gables, glass you can see through and open shutters.

Each house keeps its own roof and wall colours, so the green, purple and slate roofs of the square are where they were. Walk in and the roof still lifts away. The pieces are a free medieval kit turned into a small flat-colour module, about 100 KB, so phones load it fast.
