Loot from before today is not in your wallet yet. Open the chest and press Put them in my wallet: the @ashvale Bank mints your gear and grants your stacks to your own address.

Everything you own from Ashvale lives in your own DogecoinArcade wallet: gear as NFTs; Gold, resources, food, potions and arrows as tokens.

Your bag and your chest are the same wallet; the game only remembers what you carry. Open the chest to take what you need for the road, or store what you don't.

Some resource tokens are still being issued over the next few hours. If one isn't ready, the chest says so; try again later.

The hawk also looks like it is flying now: its legs are tucked away and it casts no shadow on the ground below.

In your bag a Hawk ring does nothing. Wear it out in the open and you become a hawk: you fly over the trees, walls and water, fast and for free, and your view pulls far back. Monsters cannot reach you, and a hawk cannot fight, gather or trade.

Magical items never vanish: drop a Hawk ring and it stays exactly where it fell until someone picks it up. Also, monsters that got stuck where you could not reach them now come out to fight.

To land, take the ring off over open ground. If you hold a Hawk ring in your arcade wallet, open the Wallet tab and press Take Hawk ring into your bag. Gear in your wallet can be traded like any NFT.

Walls hold: some buildings in the north of Saltmere - the Harbour Master, the North Warehouse and a few houses - had no walls, so you could walk straight through. Every building has its walls now; the way in is the door.

Stairs you can find your way back down: every upper floor has an opening with a railing and an amber arrow, a floor bar with Downstairs / Upstairs (Page Up / Page Down work too), and only the stairs themselves climb.

Also: game controllers work (left stick walks, right stick turns, A interacts, X attacks, Y opens your bag); Saltmere's harbour follows the land itself, its piers stand on posts, and lakes in the Atlas lie flat.

Chickens and hens: the brown hen looks like a hen again, both peck and wander the yards, they run when you go for them (so do hares and deer; boars and wolves fight back), and both drop raw chicken to cook.

Also: clicking a monster you can't walk to now says "You can't reach that from here." instead of your character swinging at nothing.

Wild boars root along the beaches near Saltmere, and timber wolves hunt anyone who strays far from the roads. Hunting pays the same experience as fighting, so it's worth a bow.

Out in the wild, animals fit the land they live on: deer in the woods, hares in the open country, goats on the heights, sand lizards in the desert, snow hares in the far north.

And a new Wallet tab on the right of the screen lists the ASHVALE gear and resources in your arcade wallet - NFTs as gear, tokens as Gold. It only reads: nothing moves from the game.

The sea around Saltmere looks right now: no more pale shelves or steps where the water meets the sand, and the surface reads as one flat sheet out to the horizon.

The piers and the quay sit at the waterline instead of floating above it or sinking into it. Same harbour, same docks, same places to climb - only how the water and the planks meet is fixed.

Ashvale village sits just inland from the coast, and a trail leads down to Saltmere, a new harbour town on the shore with piers, warehouses, a market and houses two and three storeys tall. Walk in and click the stairs to go up.

Also: running can stay switched on (Settings, Run: always), and Shift while you click does the opposite of that click. Your character and progress carry over.

The land has climates: desert, grassland, rainforest, taiga and tundra, each with its own trees and ground. Mountain ranges have passes and valleys, a tree line, and snow on the high tops. Weather follows the climate wherever you are.
